3 easy steps to COVID-19 health screens in TCF Center

Nov 3, 2020

The new event reality due to COVID-19 demands health screening for venue employees and visitors to keep people safe and healthy. TCF Center makes it easy, with three simple steps, a few minutes and new technologies!

SCAN QR CODE, COMPLETE THE HEALTH QUESTIONNAIRE ON YOUR SMARTPHONE

After scanning the QR Code displayed at the entrance of your event a brief medical screening questionnaire will appear on your phone. You are asked for your name, phone number, the date, and the name of your event for contact tracing purposes. You are also asked questions about recent travel or particular COVID-19 symptoms that will access your risk for being positive for COVID-19.

For guests in TCF Center that need medical assistance at any time, there is a dedicated isolation room fully equipped with masks, gowns and other equipment. A security guard can assist you in case an EMT is required.

TEMPERATURE CHECK

The latest hi-tech screens to check visitor temperatures is used in the next step. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) considers temperatures higher than 100.4 to be a fever, almost two degrees above what's considered an average "normal" temperature of 98.6.

WEAR THE STICKER

Having passed the screening, visitors are asked to wear the sticker that indicates they have successfully completed the health screening. The sight of all those bright yellow stickers around you is a measure of safety in an uncertain world.

TCF Center is constantly evaluating new and advanced technology for deployment during the pandemic to enhance health and safety measures. Lanyards that light up a bright red when you get closer than six feet from anyone else are being explored. Advanced contact tracing software is also being researched. Security in TCF Center is Priority One and enhanced safety measures will be continually adopted for health and safety improvement.
