Lovio George Awarded PR Contract

DETROIT, MI (11 August 2016) – lovio george | communications + design has been selected to provide strategic communications and public relations activities for the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority. lovio george continues to work with Cobo Center operations in providing brand messaging, design and creative services.

Located downtown on the beautiful Detroit Riverfront, Cobo Center is one of the largest convention centers in the nation offering 723,000 square feet of exhibit space. Cobo Center recently launched a new Technology Services department which includes a broadcast studio, digital signage, Internet and Wi-Fi upgrades, and an extensive fiber network which provides Internet services to attendees, exhibitors and show management. The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority is chaired by Larry Alexander, President & CEO of the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau.

On 9/15/09, operational control of Cobo Center transferred to the Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority, under a collaborative agreement by the Michigan State Legislature, the City of Detroit, and Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties. Each of these entities has an appointed member on the DRCFA Board. Larry Alexander is the appointee of the Governor of the State of Michigan and serves as Chairman of the Board.
